Window shopping in an exquisite corner of Notting Hill

September 19, 2016

I never tire of a trip to Ledbury Road; this special gem of a shopping spot tucked between the famous Portobello Road and the hip Westbourne Grove with it's quirky backstreets and pretty gardens.  If you have a few hours to spare or it's part of a wider tour, this has the 'exclusive club' feel of the Notting Hill set.    Exclusive fashion brands such as Emma Hope, Matches, Joseph and Diane Von Furstenberg sit along side the Nicole Fahri concept store (clothing, home and cafe).  Baby brands such as Caramel, I love Gorgeous and Petit Bateau make shopping with the baby buggy a joy - for a few hours at least!

A key reason I return is to steal an hour or so in the world of Daylesford Organic.  I have been returning to their stunning farm store in the Cotswolds for years (blog coming soon) and this is the London version. It's a touch of organic country heaven where one can purchase all manner of breads, deli items and homewares before lunching in their cafe.   Down the road there's The Ledbury, two michelen star restaurant and round the corner is The Cow; a cozy, stylish british pub.  If you fancy a mediterranean cafe style lunch then head to Ottolenghi Cafe.  Stylish clothing bargins are to be found at the glorious Mary Portas Charity Shop for Save the Children.
